The Southeastern Region of the NMRA welcomes everyone to the 2026 Scenic City Express NMRA National Convention. We hope you enjoy Chattanooga’s southern hospitality, and all the convention has to offer, especially the chance to make new friends. Please continue checking the website for any last-minute updates. If this is your first national convention, we hope you find many opportunities to gain more experience about the hobby, operations, and building outstanding layouts. Operating and visiting layouts, attending excellent clinics, and talking with fellow model railroaders should make this a convention to remember. Chattanooga is a great city for railroad history and exciting prototype operations. Please stay safe around trains, especially when taking pictures. The TVRM will offer excursions for our guests throughout the week, including the exciting opportunity to see real steam in action.

We will close the week with the National Train Show. If you meet new attendees, please welcome them and offer to answer questions or assistance as needed. The show is an exciting opportunity to meet manufacturers, see excellent layouts in action, and find a wide variety of items to purchase. This week is all about trains here in Chattanooga, so make the most of your visit and enjoy your time.
